March 23, 2026
Today we are pleased to share our 2025 Public Benefit Report, which summarizes our efforts throughout 2025 to deliver on the commitments laid out in our charter. Below is a review of each commitment.
Maintain a free, open, and collaborative knowledge base of the world’s systems, hosted at System.com, that is designed to help people understand how all things in the world are statistically related.
In 2025, we provided free and open access to the System Graph to specific universities and research organizations with an eye toward learning from users how best to release our data and develop tools for research purposes. In 2026, we plan to make various tools available openly and freely to access the System Graph.
Promote and celebrate diversity and inclusion in our hiring and employment policies and practices at all levels of our company.
We continue to prioritize diversity and inclusion in our hiring and employment practices. Here is the breakdown of the diversity of our team as at 12/31:
Maintain free and open access to content shared by users on System.com.
We are not currently supporting user-generated content on System.com.
Promote the scientific method and the values of scientific thinking.
We continue to place a strong emphasis on accurately representing scientific information throughout the platform and reporting on the performance of our models.
Share the statistical metadata on System.com in an open and interoperable format, and to actively support open data and open science.
In 2025 we secured funding from Wellcome Trust to support the release of the System Graph into the commons for research purposes. This will commence in 2026.
Uphold strict user data privacy and never sell user data to any third party.
We do not sell user data and continue to follow GDPR and other requirements concerning data privacy.
Support education and outreach initiatives to promote systems literacy in society, especially in communities that need it the most.
We championed systems literacy by collaborating with Cornell Tech for a Climate Week Hackathon, which engaged participants in applying systems thinking to real-world climate challenges.
Release features to the general public only after they have undergone an internal review of their potential unintended consequences.
We did not release any public-facing features in 2025.
Prioritize using the profits we make from enterprise licenses of our software to run System.com and invest in R&D to sustain the income needed to run System.com, and to then prioritize providing a reasonable return on risk to our employees and investors.
We anticipate fulfilling this commitment upon profitability.
