Powered by System’s data and graph, System Pro helps researchers find, synthesize, and contextualize scientific literature, surface new insights, and accelerate research.
Searching for primary literature still means spending hours digging through hundreds of studies.
And instead of helping to break down disciplinary silos, search today reinforces them — limiting transdisciplinary research and care.
We believe there’s a better way.
Search results start with the same studies you’d get on PubMed — but with summaries and key details at your fingertips to help you find what you need.
Accelerate your research with the findings of those studies, structured and exportable for your analysis.
Based on your search, you’ll get an accurate, trustworthy, and up-to-date overview of the relevant research that lets you quickly pinpoint where there’s agreement and disagreement.
See the whole system of topics statistically and mechanistically related to your search, backed up by clear data and citations.
Syntheses are based exclusively on the results of peer-reviewed scientific studies
Material used to generate syntheses is explicitly constrained to sentences we construct with findings and metadata from the literature
Only models that meet high standards of accuracy are deployed, and performance is monitored at every step
Syntheses are clearly cited with all sources used. The average synthesis on System Pro cites 53 studies.
Findings and studies are grouped into meaningful clusters to help you see and analyze the research landscape
Refreshed daily with the latest research
Recommends and visualizes topics that are part of the broader system your search falls within
"As an epidemiologist, one of the most time-intensive aspects of my work is synthesizing evidence from the ever-expanding literature. System Pro not only simplifies this process, helping me to discover and keep track of findings that would otherwise be buried deep in the biomedical data, it also contextualizes it in a way that facilitates systemic understanding and exploration."

“I would use this over Google Scholar and PubMed. Having the statistics right on hand would save me hours and hours of research…and especially in my field, this is so helpful when events like a pandemic hits and we’re all in the most rushed state to gather the existing research.”

"It was easy to use and I appreciated the summary statement. I am confident that researchers and health professionals will find this tool very useful."

"This is very exciting and completely novel. It presents a new kind of search that opens your line of thought.”

"I like this more than PubMed because it gave me stats right away and it even shows me research I didn't know to look for."

"It’s faster than PubMed, especially if you don’t know boolean searches. This is very helpful."

"Even though my searches were very specific, the papers retrieved with System Pro's search were more relevant than in PubMed. With PubMed, I get many suggested papers that are often not relevant to my topic..."

System Pro was purpose-built with explainability and trustworthiness at its core, combining LLMs with unique structured data and a patented graph architecture. It was designed to help break down disciplinary silos and support systems-based research and solutions.
System Pro…
This is all possible because of System’s proprietary architecture.
Today, System Pro extracts results from all 35 million studies on PubMed.
Read more about our extraction methodologies in our documentation.
The information on System Pro is refreshed daily.
Based on your search, System Pro assembles all the relevant findings we’ve extracted from peer-reviewed studies using AI, clustering them to group findings about the same or similar variables.
Every finding we extract is then translated into a sentence using a strict rules-based template, with each sentence able to stand alone to represent a reported finding from the original source.
We generate our synthesis of the research by prompting an LLM to synthesize those sentences, using and citing the findings alone. End to end, this process helps to ensure that accuracy and explainability can be preserved.
There are five key steps we take to ensure accuracy.
Right now, System Pro has two main limitations.
First, the subject matter is limited to health and life sciences. While we are continuing to expand our source material, we’re deliberately taking our time to get this initial knowledge space right before we expand to other domains.
Second, you may find sentences that aren’t as clear as they could be. While we’re working to address that, our priority is accuracy and reliability.
You can share feedback by using the Feedback button on the site, or by emailing us at [email protected]. Please let us know what you think — we’d love to hear from you.
Powered by the System platform, System is a free and open graph of the world’s systems. Today, System comprises millions of relationships between tens of thousands of topics, and is growing daily. Over time, we envision System becoming a living public resource that explains how anything in the world is related to everything else.
We launched System in public beta in March 2022 and it has served nearly 200,000 users since then.
